Marie Occhiogrosso has bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and English Education from Duquesne University, master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction from Marygrove College and College Admissions Counseling from UCLA, and a graduate certificate from Johns Hopkins University in Administration and Supervision. Additionally, she completed continuing education in leadership through Cornell University. Marie loves being a life-long learner and bringing the latest research and best practices to the schools that she supports to leverage data and trends into student progress and elite admissions.

Ms. Occhiogrosso began her career in education teaching college-level writing. She then taught 9th-12th grade English in public, private, and international settings as an IB English teacher, a college counselor, and a school administrator. Ms. Occhiogrosso prides herself on creating open dialogues with students and families to partner in the educational process together, emphasizing student empowerment and best fit. Her predilection for helping students craft specific, evocative college essays to support elite admissions, and her proactive approach begins conversations early to support actualizing aspirations.

When Marie is not working or studying, she can be found hiking with her husband, 2 children, and dogs, gardening and tending to her backyard chickens, or cooking up something in her kitchen.
